Lydia Marie (Neugebauer) Stephenson Reiswig Lane, 90 year old former area resident passed from this life on May 9, 2015 in Seminole, Oklahoma. She was born November 21, 1924, near Foss, Oklahoma to parents Gottlieb George Neugebauer and Maggie (Ratke) Neugebauer. Lydia attended schools in Stafford, Oklahoma, Solid Rock School near Butler, Oklahoma, Guy School west of Clinton, Oklahoma, and graduated from Clinton High School in 1946. On May 29, 1946 Lydia married Floyd Stephenson, and farmed in the Clinton area until his death in 1961. Lydia later married Delmer Reiswig on December 21, 1963, he preceded her in death in 1990. Then in 2001 Lydia married Albert Lane until their marriage ended in 2004. Lydia was active in the Home Demonstration Club, she loved to sew, crochet, knit, needlepoint, and embroidery. She and her husband Delmer were very active square dancers, and were regional and state officers. She was a beautician from January 1962 until she retired in the 1990’s, owning her own beauty/square dance shop in Clinton, Oklahoma. She was an expert seamstress and sewed Austin square dance dresses for many people. She loved to dance. Lydia was a long time member of the Clinton First Baptist Church, and later the First Methodist Church of Clinton. Lydia is survived by one son, Robert Stephenson and his wife Anna of Seminole, Oklahoma; one daughter, Jullia “Judy” De Los Santos of Austin, Texas; one sister, Ann Corley of Anadarko, Oklahoma; grandchildren, Renee Foulks, Christina De Los Santos (husband Paul Schlaud), Michele Stevenson Dudgen, Michael Stephenson; great-grandchildren, Bradley Foulks, Bailey Foulks, Samantha Foulks, Sarah Foulks, Isaac Schlaud, Sofia Schlaud, Savannah Dudgen, Mariah Dudgen and Kloe Palmer; and a host of other family and dear friends. Lydia was preceded in death by her brothers and all but one sister. Alfred Neugebauer, Elmer Neugbauer, Dorothy Fawver, Freda Stephenson and Ottilie Wright. Funeral services are scheduled for 11:00 a.m., Monday, May 11, 2015 at Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Carl Whitfield will officiate the service. Interment will follow at a later date at Union Hatchett Cemetery located south of Clinton, Oklahoma. Services are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole, Oklahoma.
