Lurlie Ann Sockey longtime Seminole County resident passed away Sunday, January 20, 2008 at Seminole Estate Nursing Home. Mrs. Sockey was born in Hueysville, Kentucky on July 31, 1946 to parents Virgil and Alice Jane (Martin) Bolen.rnrnLurlie was of the Baptist faith, a homemaker, health care provider and a retired nurse's aid.rnrnAfter her husband passed away in 1988 she married Leon Harjo August 6, 2002 at VanBuren, Arkansas.rnrnMrs. Sockey is survived by 3 children: son Tom Sockey and his wife Sherri of Maud, Oklahoma, Alice Jane Darrough of St. Louis,Oklahoma and Sandy Lee Farmer and husband Roger of California. She also is survived by her grandchildren: Ashley Renken and husband Kelly, Tad Alford, Elizabeth Farmer, Cody Sockey, Nikki Sockey and Emly Farmer.rnrnViewing will be at Swearingen Funeral Home Monday afternoon, then she will be taken to Leon Harjo home for a wake service on Monday night where she will remain until 11:00 a.m. then to Allen Cemetery for a graveside service at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 22, 2008.
