Lula Mae(Woody)Harris, 88, longtime Seminole resident went to be with her Lord and Savior and a host of friends and relatives, Sunday, March 2, 2008 after a period of declining health. Lou was born in McComb, Oklahoma on August 24, 1919 to Rosa Denton ( Maness) Woody and James rnMonroe Woody. Lou lived most of her life in Seminole County until she moved to Mustang, Oklahoma in 2005 to be near her daughter. She graduated from Prairie Valley School and attended East Central University in Ada.rnrnLou married Dan Harris on April 8, 1946. The were married for 51 years before Dan passed away. She was a homemaker and a member of the First Baptist Church of Seminole. Lou was the best of all mothers and the greatest " Mimi" in the world. She lit up like a firework when her grandchildren or great grandchildren were with her. She loved her family and was a terrific prayer warrior on the behalf of her loved ones.rnrnLou was preceded in death by her husband, Dan Harris, parents Rosa and James Monroe Woody, Sisters Mamie Maynard, Edith Butler, and Louise Totten, and brothers Earl, Malcom, Dan and Harvey Woody.rnShe is survived by one son and daughter-in-law Dana A. and Suzanne Harris of Seminole,Oklahoma and daughter and son-in-law Tena and Jim Coates of Yukon, Oklahoma. Four grandchildren Jill (Coates) Mitchell and husband Roy, Jeff Coates, Rick and Suan Streater, Heath and Christy Streater great grandchildren Madeline, Lydia and Harrison Mitchell and Jace, Jenna and Lane Streater.rnrnServices are planned for Wednesday, March 5, 2008 at 2:00 P.M. at the Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel, with Russell Vicars officiating.
