Lucy Ann (Tebe) Harjo

Lucy Ann (Tebe) Harjo, age 64 and a resident of Sasakwa, Oklahoma, passed away Wednesday, March 22, 2017 at her home. A wake service is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. Friday, March 24, 2017 at Rock Springs Baptist Church of Sasakwa. She will be taken to the church at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.  Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Saturday, March 25th at the church under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home of Konawa.  Rev. Jimsey Harjo and Houston Tiger will officiate, and burial will follow at the Tebe Family Cemetery near the church.  Casket bearers are Jacob Tebe, Steven Tebe, Joseph Tebe, Kendall Tiger, George Tiger, and Floyd Osborne.  Honorary bearers are Cameron Tebe, Allen Yahola, Bradley Tebe, Desmond Yahola, and Izaya Tiger. Lucy was born February 17, 1953 in Oklahoma City to Arthur Tebe and Onis (Harjo) Tebe.  She worked as a nurse’s aide for several nursing homes, and she married Phillip Harjo.  She loved having a good conversation with friends and spending time with her family, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. She is survived by one daughter, Phyllis Yahola of Sasakwa, Oklahoma; two sons, Arthur Tebe of Sasakwa, and Anthony Harjo of Wewoka, Oklahoma;  her husband, Phillip Harjo of Shawnee, Oklahoma; one brother, Vernon Tebe of Konawa; eleven grandchildren, Allen Yahola, Amber Barber, Summer Yahola, Lacey Yahola, Bradley Tebe, Katie Yahola, Miriah Harjo, Michael Harjo, Michaela Harjo, Keeton Hobia, and Megan Yahola; and five great grandchildren, Izaya, Nevaeh, Desmond, Ava, and Darcell. She was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur and Onis Tebe; one daughter, Arlene Harjo; one sister, Viola Tebe; and three brothers, Jimmy, Paul, and Bobby Tebe.
