Lucille “Dutch” Wheeler, 79 Lillian Lucille “Dutch” Wheeler, long time Seminole resident passed away, Sunday, March 4, 2012 in Seminole, Oklahoma at the age of 79 years. “Dutch” was born in Lamar, Oklahoma on May 15, 1932 to parents, Rex Carpenter and Minnie (Holden) Carpenter. “Dutch” moved to Seminole, Oklahoma in 1934 where she graduated High School. “Dutch” earned her Real Estate License in the 1980’s and worked at Century 21 for a number of years and American Home and Land from 1997 to 2011. “Dutch” married William “Bill” Wheeler on June 13, 1956 in Childress, Texas. Sadly after 56 years of marriage “Bill” preceded “Dutch” in death on January 3, 2012. She was also preceded in death by her parents, Rex and Minnie Carpenter. Visitation will be Wednesday, March 7, 2012, 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Thursday, March 8, 2012 from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., Friday, March 9, 2012 from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.. Funeral service for “Dutch” will be held 10:00 a.m. Saturday, March 10, 2012 at Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel, 1001 N. Milt Phillips, Seminole, Oklahoma. Officiating will be Rev. Russell Baker and Rev. Carl Whitfield. Burial will be at Maple Grove Cemetery, Seminole, Oklahoma. Serving as casket bearers are: Ron Null, Dewayne Brookshire, James Gray, Keith Gray and Lawson Crossno. Honorary casket bearers are: Steven Pickle, Jarred Pickle and Charles Cane. In lieu of flowers donation may be made to charities of your choice or to the Cal Farley Children’s Home in Amarillo, Texas.
