Lt. Col. Hardy Lee Spiegle

LT. COL. Hardy Lee Mawson Spiegle, 87 year old Seminole, Oklahoma resident passed from this life on March 10, 2014 in Waco, Texas.  He was born March 2, 1927 in Amarillo, Texas to parents Milton Lee Spiegle and Lavinia (Shelly) Spiegle. Spiegle retired from the United States Army Medical Corps on June 30, 1974 as a Lt. Col. His last tour of duty was in Turkey following that he returned to Seminole. Spiegle earned his Bachelors Degree from Oklahoma University and his Masters Degree from Baylor Medical School.  He was also of the Methodist faith. Survivors include his sister, Sue Carolyn Weingarten of Sun City West, Arizona and two nephews, Jim Hamilton of Moody, Texas and Mike Hamilton of Peoria, Arizona. Graveside services with full military honors will be held 2:00 p.m., Saturday, March 15, 2014 at Maple Grove Cemetery in Seminole, Oklahoma with Rev. Gary O. Wilburn officiating the service.
