Louis "Shorty" Snodgrass

Louis “Shorty” Snodgrass, 66 year-old long time Saint Louis and Konawa, Oklahoma resident passed from this life on Saturday, December 28, 2013.  He was born on July 19, 1947 in Doniphan, Missouri to parents Quincy Snodgrass and Maxine (Woodruff) Snodgrass. Shorty attended Saint Louis, Oklahoma High School with the class of 1965.  He later worked in the oilfield and enjoyed raising game chickens.  Shorty was an avid Oklahoma City Thunder fan and a proud member of Spring Baptist Church in Sasakwa, Oklahoma.  He was married to Glenda Snodgrass for thirty plus years. He is survived by his two sisters, Ruth Cooper and Sue Snodgrass both of Seminole, Oklahoma.  Shorty also leaves to cherish his memory, daughters, Shelly Fixico and her husband Randy of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Melissa (Snodgrass) McBroom of Owasso, Oklahoma, Lacy Lehman and husband Levi of Konawa, Oklahoma, Sherry Adams of Ada, Oklahoma.  Sons, Louis Wade Snodgrass and his wife Wendy of Seminole, Oklahoma, Corky Joe Snodgrass and his wife Renee’ of Wewoka, Oklahoma, and Quincy Colter Snodgrass of Konawa, Oklahoma.  15 grandchildren, Taylor, Lance, Kenny, Alana, Randell, Lauren, Sabrina, Samantha, Olivia, Gracyn, Meadow, Gunnar, Isaiah, Elijah, and Autumn.  Shorty is also survived by a host of other family and dear friends. Shorty is preceded in death by two brothers, Jim W. Snodgrass, Jack Snodgrass, a brother-in-law, Thomas E. “Terrapin” Cooper, two nephews, Thomas E. Cooper Jr. and Jack L. “Little Jack” Snodgrass. Shorty will be taken to Spring Baptist Church Thursday morning at 10:00 a.m. for the Funeral service that is scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Thursday, January 2, 2014 at Spring Baptist Church located west of Sasakwa on Hwy. 56 with Tim Harjo and Farron Coody officiating.  Interment will follow at Wolf Cemetery. Casket bearers will be: Sons, Grandsons, and Nephews. Honorary bearers will be: Jeff Cavett, Keith Williams, Larry Harris, and Cheddy Brown.
