Lou Ann (Montgomery) Tyner, 78 year-old, longtime Seminole resident passed from this life Monday, May 3, 2010 at Seminole Integris Hospital. She was born December 27, 1931 the third of eight children to Homer Morris Montgomery and Vera Mae (Mason) Montgomery. Lou Ann graduated from Seminole High School in 1948. She married Robert “Bob” Tyner on February 24, 1961 in Seminole, Oklahoma. Lou Ann worked for Bill Morris Tank Truck Service for several years then she worked as secretary for the Seminole First Baptist Church retiring in 1993 after 35 years of service. She was always very involved with the church serving the Lord in many different areas. She was also a “Pink Lady” serving on the Seminole Hospital Auxiliary for many years. Lou Ann is survived by one step-daughter, Debbie Lynn Jackson and her husband Danny of Del City, Oklahoma; one brother, Don Montgomery of Seminole, Oklahoma; two sisters, Patricia Clark of Bethany, Oklahoma and Vera Rammage and her husband Tommie of Seminole, Oklahoma; one sister-in-law, Judy Montgomery of Seminole, Oklahoma; one step-grandchild, Damon Jackson of Del City, Oklahoma; and a host of nieces, nephews and other family and dear friends. Lou Ann is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Bob Tyner who died in 1999; two brothers, Wilbur Montgomery and Homer Montgomery; two sisters, Mary Jo Arner and Frances Tedford. Funeral Services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Friday, May 7, 2010 at The First Baptist Church in Seminole. Brother Bob Hammons will officiate the service assisted by Matt Pollock. Interment will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery in Seminole, Oklahoma. Services are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole, Oklahoma.
