Funeral services for Seminole County native Etta Lorraine (Phillippi) Davis are scheduled for 10:30am, Tuesday, May 27, 2008 at the Church of Christ at Little with Rusty Dawson and Howard Byerly officiating. Burial will follow at Little Cemetery with services under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home, Seminole.rnrnLorraine passed away on Friday, May 23, 2008 at the age of 96 at Seminole Estates Nursing Home in Seminole. She was born May 20, 1912 to Frank and Cora (Johnston) Phillippi in Wewoka, Oklahoma. rnrnOn December 1, 1937 in Wewoka, Oklahoma, she married Mont Davis. She worked at the DHS in Wewoka, and he was County Commissioner when they met. Lorraine was a city girl, living with her widowed mother at the time of her marriage. She often commented on how the ?women of the community of Little? showed her how to cook and can.rnrnLorraine loved her family, the Church, cooking, and visiting with friends, most of whom have gone on before her and enjoying life. She loved flowers and was once a member of an Iris Club. rnrnHer entire family attend the Church of Christ in their respective locations. She and Mont raised their children in the Church of Christ at Little, Oklahoma. rnrnLorraine was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her sister and brother-in-law; Elizabeth Dodson and husband S.W. Dodson, daughter and son-in-law; Frances and husband Eugene Warrenburg and son-in-law, Al Lawrence. rnrnShe is survived by her son, Jeff Davis and wife Beth of Little, her daughter Kay Hinson and husband Adolph of Shawnee, daughter, Irene Lawrence of Pauls Valley, grandchildren: Owen Davis of Shawnee, Jesse and Lesley Davis of Pryor, Oklahoma, Tracy (Scruggs) Noerper and Rob of Nashville, Tennessee, Donna Hardin and Jim of Little, Oklahoma, and Marsha Guymon and husband J. Carl of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, Linda Dowell and Dwayne of Lubbock, Texas, Ann Frame and Danny of Pauls Valley, Oklahoma, Carol Werhan and Mark of Minnesota. Also surviving Lorraine are 10 great-grandchildren and 7 great-great-grandchildren. rnrnShe will be deeply missed by family, friends and the community of Little. rnrn Funeral Information: May 26, 2008, 10:30 AM
