Lorne Dean Fixico, 52 year old Shawnee, Oklahoma resident passed from this life on Sunday, March 17, 2019 in Pawnee, Oklahoma. He was born July 31, 1966 to parents Rev. Thomas Fixico and Katie (Haag) Fixico. Lorne graduated from Strother High School in 1984. He was a member of the Cheyenne Arapaho Tribe of Oklahoma. Lorne worked as a brick mason for Free Bird Masonry located in Shawnee, Oklahoma. Survivors include one son, Darren Fixico and his wife Jessimia of Shawnee, Oklahoma; 2 daughters, Angel Fixico of Seminole, Oklahoma and Tabitha Fixico of Shawnee, Oklahoma; 5 brothers, T.J. Fixico of Shawnee, Jerrald Fixico of Shawnee, Oklahoma, Edmond Fixico of North Dakota, Marlon Fixico of Idaho and Milo Harjo of Ada, Oklahoma; 2 sisters, Maurine Fixico of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Beverly Mason of North Dakota; 5 grandchildren; and a host of other family and friends. Lorne was preceded in death by his parents, Rev. Thomas and Katie Fixico. A devotional service will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, March 19, 2019 at Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel. A wake service will be held at 6:00 p.m., Wednesday, March 20, 2019 at Snake Creek Indian Baptist Church. Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m., Thursday, March 21, 2019 at Snake Creek Indian Baptist Church with Pastor Joe Wilkes, Bill Hobia and Steve Holata officiating the service. Interment will follow at Snake Creek Cemetery. Casket bearers will be Ronald Holata, Glen Lena, Sr., Antonio Hicks, Tyler Combs, Anthony Fixico and Henry Hicks II. Honorary bearers will be Stacy Haney, Thomas Hicks, Dwight Star, Tim Meeley, Wilson Scott, Jr., Jerry Scott, Darren Scott, Johnny Mike Fixico, Rusty Mason and George Johnson.
