Loretta May (Ingram) Cole, age 69 and a resident of Konawa, Oklahoma, passed away from this life on Thursday, August 28, 2014 in Midwest City, Oklahoma. Funeral services are scheduled for 11:00 a.m. on Monday, September 1, 2014 at the PAC Building located at Konawa High School. Rev. Jim McMillan, Pastor of First Baptist Church of Konawa will officiate. Rev. Ed Bray, Pastor of Cross Timbers Church of Konawa will assist. Burial will follow at Vista Cemetery. Pallbearers are Tommy Sexton, Roy Hicks, Mike Jackson, Roy Gerhart, Terry Davis, and Shane Odell. Honorary Pallbearers are Charles Carpenter, Altus Boren, Johnny Sharber, and Brian Akerman. Visitation will be from 8:30 a.m. until 7:00 p.m. Saturday and from 1:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. Sunday at Swearingen Funeral Home of Konawa. Loretta was born on August 31, 1944 in Konawa to Jim Ingram and Jewell (McAnally) Ingram. She was a graduate of Vamoosa High School. She married John Edward Cole on September 15, 1962 at Seminole. They have lived in Konawa since 1983, and she was a member of the Vamoosa Baptist Church. Loretta loved her family very much, and she enjoyed painting, bird watching, gardening, and restoring, owning, and showing classic cars. Most of all, she loved watching her granddaughters at their sporting and school events. She is survived by her husband of fifty-one years, John Edward Cole of the home; two daughters, Sharetta Walker and husband, Billy of Konawa, and Lana Jesse and husband, Tommy also of Konawa; three grandchildren, Caitlyn Elizabeth Jesse, Chloe Anne Jesse, and Camryn Cole Jesse. She was preceded in death by her parents, Jim and Jewell Ingram; two sisters, Delouris Harris, and Mary Perry; and one brother, James Ingram.
