Lorene Sue (Larney) Tiger, Shawnee, Oklahoma resident passed away Monday, December 26, 2016 in Shawnee, Oklahoma at the age of 79. Lorene was born January 15, 1937 in Seminole county to parents, Elmer Larney and Rachel (Haney) Larney. Lorene was a Seminole county resident for 69 years graduating from Strother High School and attending Seminole State College. She was a homemaker and employed at Tinker Air Force Base in Midwest City, Oklahoma.  Lorene was a member of the Seminole Hitchitee United Methodist Church. She was a niece to Jerry G. Haney former Principle Chief of the Seminole Nation of Oklahoma and cousin to Enoch Kelly Haney former Oklahoma State Senator and Principle Chief of the Seminole Nation of Oklahoma. Lorene is survived by son, Eddie G. Tiger and his wife Carmia of Seminole, Oklahoma; grandchildren, Tony A. Factor and his wife Debbie Factor of Seminole, Oklahoma, Joshua H. Tiger, Sunny L. Tiger, Emily Glaser; great grandsons, Seth A. Factor, and Walter A. Factor; one sister, Betty J. Gibson and her sons, Mark E. Gibson and Matthew E. Gibson. Hosts of aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends. Lorene was preceded in death by one son, Howard L. Tiger; parents, Elmer and Rachel Larney; one brother, Willilam Elliott Larney and one sister, Tina Louise Larney. Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Friday, December 30, 2016 at the Seminole Hitchitee United Methodist Church with Rev. Ricky Deer and Rev. Margaret Johnson officiating the service. A wake service will be held Thursday, December 29, 2016 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel. Lorene will be taken to the church at 10:00 a.m. Friday, escorted by the Seminole Light Horseman. Serving as casket bearers are Joshua H. Tiger, Tony A. Factor, Tracy Haney, Stacy Haney, Lance Haney, Christopher Wassana and William K. Ruminer. Honorary casket bearers are the Seminole Hitchitee United Methodist Church women, Jerry G. Haney former Principle Chief of the Seminole Nation of Oklahoma, Enoch Kelly Haney former Oklahoma State Senator and Principle Chief of the Seminole Nation of Oklahoma, Terry Spencer and Sterling Alexander Springer. Services are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole, Oklahoma.
