Violet Lorene Anderson, 94, Norman, Oklahoma resident, former Seminole county resident, passed away, Thursday, September 17, 2020 at her home in Norman. She was born on February 18, 1926 in Konawa, Oklahoma to John J. Gayler and Ruthie ( Cromlie) Gayler. Lorene grew up in Bowlegs and in Seminole, Oklahoma most of her adult life.
Lorene worked for many years at the Blue Bell Plant (Now Wrangler). She worked in the sewing department, sewing pockets on jeans, for 20 years. Lorene loved to read romance novels, crochet in her younger years, loved to cook Sunday dinners, and in the last few years she loved to go and eat at the “ Catfish Roundup”.
Lorene married Mark E. “Brownie” Anderson on November 16, 1942 in Seminole, Oklahoma and he preceded her in death on June 10, 1993.
Lorene is survived by her daughter Norma and her husband Tim of Norman, two sons Clark and his wife Kathy of Seminole and Mark and his wife Delma of Norman, eleven grandchildren and thirty-one great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband brownie, sons; Jerry and Billy Ray and a great grandson, Zach.
Graveside services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Monday, September 21, 2020 at the Little Cemetery, with Delbert Rhoades officiating at the service.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole, Oklahoma.
