Lonnie Smith

Lonnie “Darryl” Smith, 73 year old Seminole, Oklahoma resident passed away on Saturday, March 30, 2019 in Shawnee, Oklahoma. Darryl was born February 11, 1946 in Prague, Oklahoma to parents Benjamin Franklin Smith and Ruth Helen (Rogers) Smith. Darryl was active in the Memory Lane Cruisers auto club, was a CB/Ham radio operator known as “Pony” and played bass guitar at his church, Springs of Life Church in Shawnee, Oklahoma. He worked at Canadian Valley Electric Co-op as a linesman and mechanic until his retirement. Darryl is survived by his wife Linda (Willoughby) Smith of the home, son; Marty Dale Smith, Seminole, Oklahoma, daughters; Marsha Dawn Cox and her husband Mark of Midland, Texas, Pamela Kay Soliday and husband David of Sulphur, Oklahoma, Debbie Yvone Davidson and husband Roger of Stillwater, Oklahoma, step-daughter; Angela Allensworth and husband Sam of Shawnee, Oklahoma, grandchildren; Jeff, Stacie, Krista, Danny, Curtis, Hayley, Matthew, Derek, Dustin, Garrett and Cody; step-grandchildren; Shalee, Lindsy and Tyler and several great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his son, Bret Duane Smith, sister, Carol Yvone Keesee and brothers; Don Smith and Ronnie Smith. Memorial services for Darryl will be at 1:00 P.M. Friday, April 5, 2019 at the Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel with Jeff Nance officiating. Services are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole, Oklahoma.
