Lon Reeves

Lon “Lonnie” Allen Reeves, age 59 and a resident of Konawa, Oklahoma, passed away from this life at his home on Monday, June 2, 2010. A memorial service is scheduled for 2:00 p.m. on Monday, June 7th at Grace Community Church under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home in Konawa.  Ed George will officiate and Drew Isaacs will assist.  Honorary pallbearers are Bo Honsinger, Brandon Stoup, Monty Brazell, Johnny Jones, Mark Stoup, West Christopher, and Joe Mac Roberts. Lonnie was born on February 9, 1951, in Oakdale California, to Ben F. Reeves and Lillian May (Reynolds) Reeves.  He graduated Riverbank High School in California, and he was in the Army National Guard.  He later married Shelia (Ranells) on February 9, 2000, in Ft. Smith, Arkansas.  He was a tool-pusher and driller for the oilfield industry, and he roofed most of the houses in Konawa.  He lived in the Konawa area for thirty years. Lon enjoyed music, teaching music, and he most of all, he loved his family and his grandchildren. He is survived by his wife, Shelia Reeves of the home; two sons, Casey Allen Reeves of Escalon, California, and Jeremiah Lee Reeves and wife, Nicolette, of Santa Maria, California; one daughter, Carla Renee Reeves of Konawa, Oklahoma; his mother, Lillian Reeves of Konawa; one brother, Mark David Reeves and wife, Mona of Konawa; three sisters, Kathy Garcia and husband, John of Merced, California, Marjorie Ingram and husband, Ollie of Konawa, and Carol Steele and husband, Mike of Jones, Oklahoma; and four grandchildren: Austin, Hayden, Nathaniel, and Lillian Reeves. He was preceded in death by his father, Ben Reeves on March 22, 2010; three children, Tara Denise Reeves and two stillborn babies,  Lonnie Dean and Rena Renee Reeves; and one nephew, Aaron Ingram on May 13, 2010.
