Lois (Radford) Walls, age 92 and a long-time resident of Konawa, Oklahoma, passed away on Saturday, September 11, 2010, at Shawnee Care Center in Shawnee, Oklahoma, where she had been a resident for the past four years. A private graveside service was held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, September 15th at Vista Cemetery in Konawa under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home of Konawa. Rev. Ed Bray, Pastor of Cross Timbers Church in Konawa officiated. Lois was born on March 25, 1918 in a log cabin three miles west of Asher, Oklahoma to Quimby H. and Blanche (Horton) Radford. She graduated from Asher High School in 1935. She married James Arlie Walls on June 17, 1936, in Seminole, Oklahoma. Lois was a beautician by trade and worked as an instructor for a beauty college. She was also a member of Cross Timbers Church in Konawa. She is survived by two sons, Jim Walls and wife, Tracy of Yukon, Oklahoma, and Larry Walls and wife, Ruth of Konawa; one brother, Homer C. Radford of South Carolina; six grandsons and seven great grandsons. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Arlie Walls on October 17, 2005; her parents, Blanche and Quimby H.
