Lois Tucker

Bessie “Lois” Tucker Lifelong Maud resident Lois Tucker passed away on April 13, 2010 in Norman, Oklahoma at the age of 85.  She was born on January 1, 1925 in Wolf, Oklahoma to Robert Lee Walker and Nellie (Rogers) Walker. She married Lenord Leroy Tucker in Holdenville, Oklahoma on March 13, 1945. She was apart of the Teamsters Union and worked as a secretary for Yellow Trucking and Mid Content where she retired.  She was a also a member of the First Baptist Church in Maud. She is survived by two daughters, Marcella Gerkin of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and Joyce Bohanon of Wanette, Oklahoma.  She is also survived by six grandchildren and eighteen great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, Lenord Leroy Tucker on November 4, 1977, parents, three sisters and one brother. Graveside services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Friday, April 16, 2010 at Cummings Cemetery in Maud.  Rev. Bobby Shatto will officiate the services. Services are under the direction of Knight-Swearingen Funeral Home, Maud, Oklahoma.
