Lloyd Edward Williamson, age 85 and a long-time resident of Konawa, Oklahoma, passed away on Monday, July 4, 2011 at his home. A Rosary service is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 7, 2011 at Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel in Konawa. A Funeral Mass is scheduled for 10:00 a.m. on Friday, July 8th at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Konawa. Fr. Adrian Vorderlandwehr, O.S.B. will officiate. Burial with full military honors will follow at Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery. Pallbearers are Daniel Williams, Jason Williams, Brian Akerman, Shane O’Dell, Bobby Honsinger, and Charlie Carson. Honorary pallbearers are Caleb Williams, Mike Tallbear, Alvin Tallbear, and David Green. Lloyd was born on October 1, 1925 to Oscar Cleveland Williamson and Bertha (Pearson) Williamson in Kanima, Oklahoma. He married Hazel Zoe (Rhodd) on November 22, 1961 at Long Beach, California. He was a Ship’s Serviceman First Class and Supply Officer for the Navy with over twenty years of active service, and served another ten years with the Fleet Reserves of the United States Navy. He is survived by one daughter, Angelique Williams and son-in-law, Jason of Harrah, Oklahoma; one step-daughter, Patricia Carson of Konawa, Oklahoma; one brother, Barney Williamson of Fresno, California; two sisters, Lena Richardson of New Bern, North Carolina, and Sue Mayo of Visalia, California; eight grandchildren, and twelve great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Oscar and Bertha Williamson; his wife, Hazel Williamson; one step-son, Edward Rumph; three brothers, Bill, Bob, and Carl Williamson; and three sisters, Flora Miller, Irene Testi, and Nell Thomason.
