Lloyd Shepard, Macomb resident, passed away on February 7, 2021, in Shawnee, Oklahoma, at the age of 80. Lloyd was born on February 29, 1940, in Antlers, Oklahoma, to Willis and Nancy (Roebuck) Shepard. He was a “jack of all trades”. He was self-employed as a heavy equipment operator and took great pride in his work. Lloyd worked tirelessly, and it has been said that he was one of the best heavy equipment operators in Oklahoma.
Lloyd married the love of his life, Rita Janett Annanders, on December 31, 1963 in Noble, Oklahoma. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. Lloyd had a way of making people laugh and was known for his very unique verbiage. Everyone who knew him loved him. He grew to really appreciate nature and God’s creation. Lloyd was an outstanding honest man that truly made the world a better place just by being a part of it.
Lloyd is survived by his daughter, Marniea Shepard, of Macomb, OK; brother, Dansby Shepard, of Lindsay, OK; mother-in-law, Margie Annanders; sister-in-law, Marla and husband, Alan Mitchell of Tecumseh, OK; brother-in-law, Steve Annanders; two grandchildren, Colby and wife, Candace Crawford and Megan Shepard; three great grandchildren, Raven Harris, Kollin Crawford and Phoenix Shepard and many other family and friends.
Lloyd was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Rita Shepard and daughter, Tamara Siler.
No services are planned for Lloyd at this time at this time.
Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole, Oklahoma.
