Longtime Seminole county resident L.J. Dahl passed away on November 14, 2008 at his home at the age of 84.rnrnHe was born on August 30, 1924 in Yukon, Oklahoma to John and Edith Christian (Behren) Dahl. rnrnL.J. married Edna (Cordell) Dahl on August 29, 1947 and she preceded him in death on January 17, 2004. rnrnHe served in the United States Army during WWII and retired from Tinker Air Force. rnrnHe was a ?Winter Texan? he loved spending his winter in Groundsville, Texas with friends. rnrnHe is survived by daughter and son-in-law: Peggy and Leon Merriman of Tecumseh and son and daughter-in-law: Richard and Norma Snyder of Midwest City, Oklahoma, one brother, Harley John Dahl of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and Elberta Delachmit of Springfield, Missouri. He is also survived by two grandchildren: Joe Lee Merriman and his wife Michelle and Michael Merriman and one great granddaughter, Madison Merriman. rnrnHe is preceded in death by his parents, wife, and six brothers and sisters. rnrnGraveside Services are scheduled for 2:00pm, Tuesday, November 18, 2008 at Cummings Cemetery in Maud, Oklahoma. rn Funeral Information: November 17, 2008, 2:00 AM
