Linnea Callis

Linnea Ann “Sandy” (Sandberg) Callis, 74 year-old, longtime Seminole resident passed from this life December 15, 2009 at her home in Seminole.  She was born October 22, 1935 in El Cajon, California to parents Matthew Nicholas Sandberg and Nelda Marie (Goode) Sandberg. Sandy graduated from El Cajon, California High School and later moved to Edmond, Oklahoma.  She moved to Seminole in 1984 where she worked for Wrangler retiring after 23 years of service. Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Andrew Vloedman and his wife Connie of Weatherford, Oklahoma, Derk Vloedman and his wife Mandy of Clinton, Oklahoma; two daughters and sons-in-law, Janel Ann Wynn and her husband Eric of McAlester, Oklahoma and Donna Lea Moore and her husband Frank of Cromwell, Oklahoma; one stepson, Chuck Callis and his wife Eva of Watonga, Oklahoma; one brother and sister-in-law, Richard Eldon Sandberg and his wife “Will” of Tucson, Arizona; her former husband Mike Callis of Watonga, Oklahoma; twenty grandchildren, Mandy, Jessica, Jacob, Terra, Andrew, Tyler, Chris, Taylor, Jarrod, Jordan, Morgan, Justin, Ashley, Colt, Tayler, Susan, Edward, Sheena, Shannon and Tye; fifteen great-grandchildren and expecting twins soon; she is also survived by a host of other family and dear friends. Sandy is preceded in death by her parents, and by her first husband, the father of her children, Andrew Vloedman who died in 1983. Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Saturday, December 19, 2009 at Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel in Seminole.  Interment will follow at Rest Haven Memorial Gardens with Rev. Carl Whitfield officiating. Public visitation will begin at 8:00 a.m. on Friday, December 18, 2009 at Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Friday. Pallbearers will be: Jarrod Stow, Justin Green, Colt Moore, Chris Jones, Chuch Callis and Jacob Vloedman.  Honorary Bearers will be:  Eddie Dollarhide and Matt LeVick.
