Lindel Frances Smith, longtime Seminole resident Lindel F. Smith passed away on February 27, 2010 in Seminole, Oklahoma at the age of 83. He was born on April 18, 1926 in Henryetta, Oklahoma to Walter and Melvina (Bailey) Smith. Lindell married Lois Louise (Campbell) on June 27, 1982, she survives him of the home. He has lived in Seminole over 30 years where he worked in construction, prior to that he lived several years in Oregon where he was a lumber jack. He was a member of the Bowlegs Assembly of God Church where he was a deacon, he also helped with the building of the new church. He loved to hunt and fish. He leaves to cherish his memories his wife of 28 years Lois Louise Smith of the home, son, Norman Smith of Sandy, Oregon, two daughters; Linda May and Lola of Sandy, Oregon, two brothers. G.C. Smith of Uperco, MD., and Weldon Smith of Seminole, three sisters; Helen Towney of Uperco, MD., Hazel Williams of Henryetta, Oklahoma and Mildred Wood of Ft. Sumner New Mexico. He is also survived by thirteen grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, four brothers and an infant son. Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 P.M., Wednesday, March 3, 2010 at the Bowlegs Assembly of God Church with Rev. Roy Robertson officiating. Interment will follow at Little Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home, 1001 N. Milt Phillips Avenue, Seminole, Oklahoma 74868 Pallbearers will be: Rob Robertson, Dwayne Houck, Bob Wilson, Doug Ridge, Rodney Soule and Randy Wassam.
