Linda Jo Calger, 69, lifelong Seminole resident died, Friday, January 7, 2011 at her home in Seminole. Linda was born January 10, 1941 in Seminole, Oklahoma to Alvie and Mildred (Garner) Hale. Linda was a cake decorator for Hale’s Bakery here in Seminole, but was retired at the time of her death. Linda was a graduate of Seminole High School and was a member of the Lighthouse Tabernacle Church in Seminole; she dearly loved her church and being able to go to church. Linda spent most of her life in Seminole. She did live in Italy for three years while her husband Don was in the military service there. Linda loved to travel. She especially loved to collect rocks' from all the places she visited. Linda dearly loved traveling to Branson, Missouri where she enjoyed the shows and craft shopping. She also loved to cook,sew, make crafts, and spend time with her family. Linda married Don Calger on May 19, 1977 in Durant, Oklahoma and spent 34 wonderful years with him, traveling, laughing and raising their children. Her husband Don Calger of the home, one son Shannon Calger of Seminole, Oklahoma and two daughters Vicki Conway of Glenpool, Oklahoma and Misti Benson of Seminole, Oklahoma, survive Linda. Her seven grandchildren also survive her. Her parents and one brother Jim Hale preceded her in death. Memorial services will be 11:00 a.m., Thursday, January 13, 2011 at the Lighthouse Tabernacle at 1717 W. Wrangler Blvd. in Seminole, with Rev. Bruce Benson and Jeremy Benson officiating.
