Lillian Rozella “Rose” Remer, 87, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma resident and former Seminole, Oklahoma and Ada, Oklahoma resident, passed from this life on Friday, September 9, 2022, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
Rose was born on April 22, 1935, in Fittstown, Oklahoma to parents, Johnie Welcher and Hazel Laura (Bruner) Welcher. Rose moved to the Seminole area at an early age and attended and graduated from Varnum High School north of Seminole. She married Lester Coy Remer on March 1, 1954, and he preceded her in death on July 18, 2019, after 65 wonderful years of marriage.
Rose ran an upholstery shop and was formerly employed at Solo Cup in Ada, Oklahoma. She retired from T. G. & Y as a payroll clerk after 11 years with the company.
Rose leaves to cherish her memories, her son Keith Remer and his wife Jeannie of Jones, Oklahoma, two daughters, Jane Crawford and her husband David of Houston, Texas, and Johnnie Mahurin and her husband Gary of Ada, Oklahoma, one sister Mildred DeShazo and her husband Bill of Sand Springs, Oklahoma, ten grandchildren Coy Remer and his wife Jessica, Sloan Andrews and husband Rick, Hayden Remer, Travis Crawford and wife Jessica, Wesley Crawford and wife Catherine, Patrick Crawford, Buddy Pearce, Austin Lollar, Abbie Gandy and Emma Gandy and seven great grandchildren.
Rose was preceded in death by her parents; John and Hazel Welcher, son Lester Coy Remer, Jr., daughter Lauramae Lollar, brother John Welcher, Jr., sisters; Johnie Faye Luper, Virginia Hanceford and Patsy Brown.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, September 14, 2022, at 11:00 A.M. at Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel at 1001 N. Milt Phillips Ave., in Seminole, Oklahoma, with burial at Little Cemetery, North of Seminole, with Pastor Jimmy Keith officiating.
Casket Bearers will be Keith Remer, David Crawford, Coy Remer, Austin Lollar, Darrell Hanceford, Johnie Brown. Honorary Bearers will be David Lollar, Gary Mahurin, Billy John DeShazo and Paul Brown.
Funeral services are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole, Oklahoma.
