Lil Williams

Lillie Angeline “Lil” Williams passed from this life Monday, October 19, 2009 in Del City, Oklahoma.  She was born in Oklahoma City to parents Carl Albert Goodman and Felcie Myrtle (VanVliet) Goodman. She graduated from South-East High School in Oklahoma City.  “Lil” worked for Okemah Nursing Center for over 10 years before she retired and moved to Seminole in 1991. She married Wesley “Gene” Williams and he preceded her in death in December of 2001. Survivors include two brothers, Melvin and Earl Goodman both of Moore, Oklahoma; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Carol Afinowicz of Choctaw, Oklahoma and Jerry and her husband Raymond Obermeyer of Moore, Oklahoma; several of nieces and nephews including, Brent Afinowicz who lived with her and helped maintain her farm and a host of other family and dear friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Gene Williams; and by two sisters, Betty Lou Weese and Linda Jo Svendsen. Graveside services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Saturday, October 24, 2009 at Little Cemetery.  Chaplain Jim McCool will officiate the service.
