Lewis Wise

Longtime Seminole resident Lewis Wise passed away on Sunday, April 26, 2009 at his home in Seminole at the age of 88. rnrnHe was born on August 4, 1920 in Seminole to Alfred and Sallie (Narcome) Wise. rnrnHe was a custodian for many years at Seminole State College. rnrnHe is survived by six sons; Jack Wise of Grove, Evans Wise of Meeker, Timothy Wise of Weleetka, Terry Wise of Shawnee and Gerald Wise of Shawnee, and Joe Wise of Cromwell, four daughters; Mae Wise of Seminole, Ann Dixon of Porum, Charlene Lowe of Glenpool, and Geraldine Little of Seminole, one brother, Harry Henshaw of Wewoka, Oklahoma and one sister, Sarah Beck of Sapulpa, Oklahoma. He is also survived by thirty-nine grandchildren, 79 great grandchildren and 6 great great grandchildren. rnrnHe is preceded in death by his parents, wife, Mandy (Tiger) Wise, two daughters, two grandchildren, two great grandchildren, two sisters, one half-sister, and three brothers and one half- brother rnrnPallbearers will be: Frank Lena, Jr., Charles Sewell, Mickey Dockery, David Walker, Lance Primeaux, and Samuel England. rnrnHonorary Bearers will be: Alfred Wise, Bill Wise, Kennedy Wise Talamasey, Dwayne Pierce, Rusty Carbitcher, Jimpsey Carbitcher, Doug Isaacs and all of his grandsons. rnHis body will be taken to the Church at 4:00 p.m., on Wednesday, April 29, 2009 for Wake Services Wednesday Evening at 7:00 p.m. rnrnFuneral services are scheduled for 1:00 p.m., Thursday, April 30, 2009 at the Cedar Creek Eufaula Baptist Church with Rev. Houston Tiger and Dorsey Nero officiating. Interment will follow at England Family Cemetery. rnrnServices are under the direction ofrnSwearingen Funeral Home, 100 W.
