Letha Lee King, 99 year-old Wewoka, Oklahoma resident passed from this life on Thursday, August 1, 2013 at Holdenville General Hospital in Holdenville, Oklahoma. She was born August 13, 1913 in Holdenville to parents John Long and Myrtle McCaslin. Mrs. King died just 12 days shy of her 100th Birthday. Mrs. King had lived in the Holdenville and Seminole County area for most of her life. She was a member of the Minney Springs Baptist Church and also a proud member of the Creek Nation Of Oklahoma. Letha married Louis King, Sr. in Holdenville, Oklahoma in 1929. Sadly he preceded him in death on October 30, 1980. Letha was also preceded in death by both of her parents. Survivors include one son, Louis King, Jr. of Keizer, Oregon; three daughters, Lahoma Driver of Shelbyville, Kentucky, Lois Perry of Gilroy, California and Louina Smith of San Angelo, Texas; 11 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; numerous great-great grandchildren; and a host of other family and dear friends, including the friends who gave her outstanding love and care at Elmwood Manor Nursing Home in Wewoka, Oklahoma. Graveside services will be held 2:00 p.m. Thursday, September 19, 2013 at Rest Haven Memorial Gardens of Seminole, Oklahoma.
