Lester Weldon Johnson

Lester Weldon Johnson, long time Seminole resident, passed into eternal life on December 15, 2017 in Shawnee, Oklahoma, he was 78.  Lester was born July 9, 1939 in Tulsa, Oklahoma to Lester Dale and Hattie May (Lorance) Johnson. On October 5, 1984 Lester married Peggy (Edmonds) in Ft. Smith, Arkansas.  Lester loved the outdoors and going to flea markets.  He served in the Army National Guard. Lester leaves to cherish his memory, his wife, Peggy, of the home, two step-sons, Forin “Clint” Whitson of Seminole, Oklahoma and Robert Allen Whitson of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, one daughter, Barbara Kimrey and husband Mike of Arkansas, several grandchildren and many other family and friends. Lester was preceded in death by his parents, Lester and Hattie Johnson. Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m., December 22, 2017 at Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel in Seminole, Oklahoma with Carl Whitfield officiating.  Burial will take place at Rest Haven Memorial Gardens in Seminole, Oklahoma at a later date.
