Leroy Anderson, 68 year-old, longtime Saint Louis and Maud resident passed from this life on Friday, November 19, 2010 at his home in Maud. He was born December 31, 1941 in Saint Louis, Oklahoma to parents Elmer Anderson and Leora (Engle) Anderson. Leroy had worked as an oilfield truck driver for many different companies including Tiger Trucks and for Kenneth Stalnaker at S&E Trucking. Leroy was also of the Christian faith. Leroy married Vickie Stackhouse on January 1, 2010 in Maud, Oklahoma. Survivors include his wife Vickie Anderson of the home; two sons and daughters-in-law, Steve and his wife Joy Anderson of Konawa, Oklahoma, and David and his wife Esther Anderson of Tecumseh, Oklahoma; one brother and sister-in-law, Luther and his wife Earlene “Sammie” Anderson of Maud, Oklahoma; one sister, Sharon Reddel of Camp Verdie, Arizona; ten grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and a host of other family and dear friends. Leroy is preceded in death by his parents Elmer and Leora Anderson; one son, Eddie Anderson died in 1983; and by one brother, Raymond Anderson. Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, November 23, 2010 at the Church of God in Maud, Oklahoma. Pastor Dan Kasper will officiate the service. Interment will follow at Vamoosa Cemetery located south of Seminole. Casket bearers will be: Jacob Anderson, Joseph Anderson, Brian Anderson, Tony Anderson, Ronnie Stackhouse and Trey Anderson. Honorary casket bearers will be: Kenneth Stalnaker, Ray Cleary, Joel Fletcher, Woody Phillips and Jerry Kreuzberg. Visitation will be held at the Knight-Swearingen Funeral Home in Maud on Saturday from 2:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m.; Sunday from Noon until 7:00 p.m. and Monday from 9:00 a.m. until 7:00 p.m.; Then on Tuesday until service time.
