Leona E. Rivers, 84, longtime Seminole resident died, Sunday, February 9, 2014 in Seminole, Oklahoma. Leona was born July 25, 1929 to Lois Eloise (Little John) and Tom Coley in McAlester, Oklahoma. Leona was a homemaker, a domestic housekeeper a member of the Ebenezer Baptist Church in Seminole, Oklahoma and also attended Immanuel Fellowship Church in Seminole. Leona was a person who loved to travel. She could ride for very long periods of time, then anxiously wait getting out and enjoy and good meal. She enjoyed being at home and pleasure in sitting in her chair on her front porch. Leona is survived by her daughter, Kathryn Woods and her husband Charles of Seminole, Oklahoma, six grandchildren and a host of great grandchildren. Leona was preceded in death by her parents, Tom and Lois Coley; three husbands, T.J. Gray, Leonard Roberts and Theodore Rivers who passed away on October 4, 2011 and one son, Donald Ray Gray, preceded her in death. Funeral services will be held 11:00 A.M., Saturday February 15, 2014 at the Ebenezer Baptist Church on Gale Street in Seminole, Oklahoma with Rev. Billy Renfro officiating. Burial will follow at Westwood Cemetery in Wewoka, Oklahoma. Casket bearers will be Heyward McGregor, Reggie Wright, Mike Scheller, Melvin Oguinn, Gilbert Reese and Jim Cook.
