Leo Amos Alexander, Jr. , age 64 and a resident of Ada, Oklahoma, passed away at his mother’s home in Konawa, Oklahoma, Sunday morning August 1, 2021.

A Wake service is scheduled for 6:00 p.m. Wednesday evening, August 4th at High Springs Baptist Church of Konawa under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home of Konawa.  Viewing will be Tuesday after 1:00 p.m., and Wednesday at the funeral home.  Leo will be taken to the church on Wednesday at 4:00 p.m.  Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. at the church on Thursday, August 5th, and burial will follow at High Springs Baptist Church Cemetery.  Rev. Skip Foster will officiate, and casket bearers are Josh Melton, Zachary Alexander, Gage Alexander, Peyton Hunter, Travis Hunter, Jason Glenn, and Eli Melton.  Honorary bearers are Terry Walker, Terry Fixico, Ronnie Burgess, Matthew Foster, Herman Foster, and John Coon.

Leo was born September 25, 1956 in Talihina, Oklahoma to Leo Amos Alexander, Sr. and Salina Mae (Hill) Alexander.  He graduated from Konawa High School, and worked as a self-employed carpenter.  He was a member of the High Springs Baptist Church, and he enjoyed signing Native American hymns.  Leo loved sports and OU Football.  He also loved watching his grandchildren play sports.

He is survived by his wife, Johnna Grant of the home; two sons, Blake Alexander and wife, Ashlie of Ada, Oklahoma and Steven Alexander and wife, Evangeline of Konawa; one daughter, Ashley Worcester and husband, Frankie of Ada; two sisters, Shirley Torres of Seminole, Oklahoma, and Serena Alexander of Ada; eighteen grandchildren, Kelsey, Zachary, Gage, Avery, Hailey, Isabella, Kyley, Peyton, Chesape, Ari, Zeke, Josiah, Trey, Vincent, Gabe, Mariah, Jordynn, and Zaccheus; six great grandchildren, Crist, Ayden, Serenity, Adriel, Aleya, and Aryn.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one son, Alvin Alexander.
