Lena Mae Smith

Lena Mae (Eaton) Smith, 94 year-old, Bella Vista, Arkansas resident passed from this life Friday, March 30, 2012 in Springdale, Arkansas.  She was born January 4, 1918 in Sperry, Oklahoma to parents Charles Eaton and Lena Mae (Prichard) Eaton. Lena graduated from Sperry High School. She was also of the Presbyterian faith.  During her time in Seminole she was a beautician who worked from her home located at 1909 Phelps Drive. Lena married her first husband Edward G. Ridgeway and he preceded her in death in 1947.  She later married her second husband Robert E. Smith and he preceded her in death in 1989.  One son, Ted Ridgeway who died in 1988, also precedes her in death.  Lena was the last of seven siblings. Survivors include one son, Don Ridgeway of Bella Vista, Arkansas, two grandchildren, Scott Ridgeway of Gunnison, Colorado and Rick Withrow of Seminole, Oklahoma, six great-grandchildren and three great great grandchildren.  Lena is also survived by a host of other family and dear friends. The family will receive friends at Swearingen Funeral Home on Tuesday, April 3, 2012 from 6:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Funeral services are scheduled for 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, April 4, 2012 at Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel with Don Gill officiating.  Interment will follow at Rest Haven Memorial Gardens in Seminole. Casket bearers will be: Don Ridgeway, Scott Ridgeway, Rick Withrow, Brian Adams, Ted Tucker and Jerry McNally. Services are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole.
