Graveside services are planned for Friday, January 18, 2008 at 1:00 P.M. at Little Cemetery. Don Gill will officiate the service.rnrnMr. Bancroft was born on May 31, 1928 in Holdenville, Oklahoma to parents Stan and Ethel (Clark) Bancroft. rnrnMr. Bancroft was a former Seminole, Oklahoma resident who moved to California in 1973.rnrnHe died January 12, 2008 in his Ventura, California home after a prolonged illness.rnrnLeland was a retiree from Exxon Mobil, a United States Navy veteran of WWII, and a graduate of Wewoka High School and the University of Arkansas.rnrnLeland's focus and passion in life was his family. Leland was a loving and devoted husband to Betty Bancroft, his wife of 54 years, and his two children, Janet and Russell Bancroft.rnrnJanet preceded him in death.rnrnLeland adored his granddaughter Jordan Bancroft, born to Russell and his wife Shelly. He especially cherished her hand-drawn pictures and notes.rnrnThe family would like to express their special thanks and appreciation to the family and friends who went above and beyond over the years! Your love and support in all its forms made an incredibly difficult situation workable and bearable.
