Leasa Diane Boggs, 53, former longtime Seminole resident died Saturday, May 3, 2014 in Forney, Texas. Leasa was born August 29, 1960 in Shawnee, Oklahoma to Norman Clay and Joyce Faye ( Sandefur) Boggs. Leasa was a registered nurse for many years working locally at Pioneer Nursing Home, Seminole Municipal Hospital, Misson Hill Hospital in Shawnee, Oklahoma and more recently in several Emergency Rooms in the Dallas, Texas area with her last position at Texas Regional Medical Center. She received her associate’s degree from Seminole State College and a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Nursing from East Central University in Ada, Oklahoma. Leasa was a member of the Church of Christ in Seminole, Oklahoma and will always be remembered for her beautiful smile and the way she touched lives through her caring services in nursing Leasa is survived by her parents; Norman and Joyce Boggs of Seminole, Oklahoma, daughter Alex Houston and her husband Drew of Dallas, Texas, her sister Linda Gary and her husband Terry of Tulsa, Oklahoma; her grandchildren A.J., Austin and Alexander Houston, her nephews, Joshua and Curtis Gary of Tulsa, Oklahoma and her extended family Justin and Amanda Shaw of Forney, Texas, Ashley Quinton and a host of nurses who loved her and helped care for her Funeral services will be held 2:00 P.M., Friday May, 9, 2014 at the Church of Christ in Seminole, 12040 Highway 99 north, with Chris Stinnett officiating. Burial will follow at Tecumseh Mission Cemetery in Tecumseh, Oklahoma. Casket bearers will be Joshua Gary, Curtis Gary, Justin Shaw, Mike Vanlandingham, Michael Vanlandingham and Larry Ernst. The family will receive friends and family at a special visitation, Thursday, May 8, 2014, from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M. at the Swearingen Funeral Home, Seminole.
