Leah Jean (Bender) Labrada, 59, Shawnee, Oklahoma resident, passed away on Tuesday, February 26, 2019 in Shawnee, Oklahoma. Leah was born January 14, 1960 in Pawnee, Oklahoma to Bennie Bender and Ella (Colbert) Bender. Leah attended high school at Butner Schools in Cromwell, Oklahoma. She married David Labrada in May of 1979. Leah was a tribal member of the Muscogee Creek Nation of Oklahoma. She worked for Texas Instruments for over 30 years before retiring. Leah loved going to play bingo and sports events. She loved the Dallas Cowboys, Oklahoma City Thunder, Oklahoma University sports, going to church and singing. Leah is survived by her three brothers; Bennie Bender of Shawnee, Oklahoma, Sam Bender of Cromwell, Oklahoma and George Bender of Howe, Texas, five sisters; Alice Harjo of Arcadia, Oklahoma, Mary Harjo of Glenpool, Oklahoma, Betty Jones of Royse City, Texas, Deborah Ridge of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Jean-o Bender of Cromwell, Oklahoma and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband David Labrada. Wake services will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M., Friday, March 1, 2019 at the Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel. Memorial services will be held at 1:00 P.M., Saturday, March 2, 2019 at the Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel with Wayne Harjo and Jessie Wind officiating.
