L. C. Harrison, Jr., age 88 and former resident of Seminole County, passed away on Sunday, September 27, 2009, at his residence in Shawnee, Oklahoma. Graveside services with full Military Honors are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 3rd at Konawa Cemetery under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home in Konawa, Oklahoma. L.C. was born on February 28, 1921, in Seminole County to Sybil (Harris) and L.C. Harrison, Sr. He married Jacquelyn (Bowen) on May 26, 1946, in Van Buren, Arkansas. He was a retired Major for the Army and served during WWII and the Korean conflict. He earned a Master’s in Education, and he was also a retired school teacher for the Bethel Acres school system. L.C. was a 32nd Degree Scottish Rites member of the Masonic Composite Lodge 107. Later, L.C. became a Reserve Deputy Sheriff for Pottawatomie County. He is survived by one son, James Harrison of Shawnee, Oklahoma; two daughters, Carol Arrant of Ft.Walton Beach, Florida, and Susie Rogers of Cameron, Oklahoma; five grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, and three great-great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, Sybil and L.C. Harrison, Sr.; his wife, Jacquelyn Harrison; and one sister, Noweta McNaughton.
