Laura Hale

Seminole resident, Laura Hale, passed away Sunday, September 10, 2023, in Shawnee at the age of 61.

Laura, the daughter of Billy Joe and Christine (Meek) Pierce, was born October 18, 1961, in Seminole.  She went to work in the health care industry in nursing, working in that capacity for over 40 years, much of that time working at the Wewoka Healthcare Center.  On June 11, 2004, Laura married Billy Hale, in Sebastian County, Arkansas.  Laura was a caregiver, she took in children who needed a loving caring place, over the years she provided shelter for many.  She loved each and every one of them.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and by her sons, Joe, Chris, and Shane.

Laura is survived by her husband, Billy Hale; sisters, Billie and Jerry Leonard, and Vanessa Pierce; brothers, Johnny Pierce and Bonnie, and Joe Pierce and Sharon; in-laws JR Hale and Pat; and many other family members and friends.

Graveside service was Tuesday, September 12, 2023, at 2:00 P.M. at Wolf Cemetery.  Services under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole.
