Larry Joe Watson

Larry Joe Watson, age 64 and a resident of Sasakwa, Oklahoma, passed away Wednesday, August 2, at his home. A memorial service is scheduled for 10:00 a.m. Monday, August 7, 2017 at Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel in Konawa, Oklahoma.  Rev. Wesley Martin will officiate. Larry was born July 7, 1953 in Holdenville, Oklahoma to Wiley E.O. Watson and Verdell (Rippee) Watson.  He graduated from Allen High School and was a heavy equipment operator for the county.  Larry married Vickie Waters May 6, 1983 in Ada, Oklahoma.  He loved hunting, fishing, taking care of his cattle, and chicken fighting.  He also loved to spend time with his grandchildren. He is survived by his wife, Vickie Watson of the home; one son, Wally Watson and wife, Kari of Tupelo, Oklahoma; one step-son, John Merrell of Sasakwa; one daughter, Shawna Tatum and husband, Shane of Ada; two step-daughters, Kim McDonald and husband, Bobby of Sasakwa, and Jodi Lee and husband, Dwyane of Sasakwa; one sister, Teresa Horn of LeHigh, Oklahoma; and fourteen grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Wiley and Verdell Watson and his father-in-law, John Waters.
