Larry Frederick Priebe Larry was born in Okeene, OK on November 4, 1930 to Mamie (Kramp) and Alexander Priebe. He passed away on Friday, September 3, 2010. He grew up on a farm east of Okeene and graduated from Okeene High School in 1947. He attended Oklahoma A&M until he contracted polio in 1948. He and his father owned and operated Priebe's Garage. Larry met and married Emma Catherine McIlroy, of Wichita Falls, TX on August 9, 1952. The couple had five children. His wife, Catherine, preceded him in death in 1985.   A longtime member of the Southern Baptist Church, in recent years Larry attended First Baptist Church of Seminole. Prior to moving to Seminole, he was an active member of Putnam City Baptist in OKC.   Larry worked for Halliburton Services for almost twenty years as a marine engineer and diesel mechanic, as well as part-time carpentry work. He also worked for Doma Transports before starting Auto Clinic, Inc. In 1985, he was paralyzed from cancer on the spine, and retired from work. In addition to his wife, he is preceded in death by his parents, and one brother, Leslie Priebe, Sr., in 1979. One sister survives him, Jean Priebe Holt, of Oklahoma City. He is also survived by three sons and daughters-in-law, as well as one daughter and son-in-law: Charles and Elizabeth Priebe, of Austin, TX; David and Cherie' Priebe, of Enid, OK; twins Jon Priebe and wife Debbie of Mustang, OK; and Malinda Bishop and husband John of Seminole; he also leaves seventeen grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren.   Memorial services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 7, 2010 at the First Baptist Church in Seminole with Matt Pollock officiating. Services are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home, 1001 N.
