Seminole resident Lawrence Eugene "Larry" Mullen passed away on Thursday, December 21, 2006 at the age of 66. He was born on June 26, 1940 to Vernon Eugene and Lela Jo (Pritckett) Mullen in Seminole, Oklahoma.rnrnHe graduated from Seminole High School in 1957 where he played football, basketball and was in the band. He attended East Central State University where he majored in vocal music and chorus. After college he taught school in Henryetta and later worked overseas in Nigeria Africa. He went on to own Mullen Tire and Accessory in Norman, Oklahoma. He retired from automotive sales in 2001. He loved golf and bass fishing. rnrnHe is survived by son; Greg Mullen of Rockwall, Texas, step-son, Darren Able of Norman, daughters; Gayla Bowers of Rowlett, Texas, Dyan Darr of Peyton, Colorado, step-daughters, Lisa Murdaugh of Norman, Oklahoma, Tommie Embretson of Houston, Texas, and Debbie Able of Norman, two brothers, David Mullen of Moore, Oklahoma and Paul Mullen of Stillwater, Oklahoma. He is also survived by seventeen grandchildren.rnrnHe is preceded in death by his parents and grandson, Darren Friesen.rnrnFuneral Services are scheduled for 2:00pm, Tuesday, December 26, 2006 at the Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel with Rev.
