Larry Moyer

Larry Raymond Moyer, 62 year-old, lifelong Seminole resident passed from this life Sunday, July 4, 2010, in Seminole, Oklahoma.  He was born December 2, 1947 in Stroud, Oklahoma to Neal A. Moyer and Anna Bell (Anthony) Moyer. Larry graduated from Seminole High School in 1966 and went on to pursue a teaching degree from East Central University in Ada, Oklahoma.  He married Ellen A. “Andi” Franken in 1970 in Shawnee, Oklahoma.  The couple moved to Bartlesville, Oklahoma where Larry taught and coached football and basketball from 1971 until 1976.  He then owned and operated Nova Cleaning Company from 1976 until his retirement in 1996. Larry was affiliated with the Seminole First Baptist Church and is a former member of the Seminole Elks Lodge. Larry leaves to cherish his memory his mother, Anna Bell Moyer of Seminole, Oklahoma; wife, Andi Moyer of Seminole, Oklahoma; one son and daughter-in-law, Brandon and Courtney Moyer of Seminole, Oklahoma; four grandchildren, Jacob Travis Moyer, Jordon Taylor Moyer, Jules Tatum Moyer and Jason Thomas Moyer. Larry is preceded in death by his father, Neal Moyer; one son, J.T. Moyer who died in 1992 and by one brother, Richard Neal “Dick” Moyer. Memorial Service is scheduled for 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, July 7, 2010 at Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel.  Tommy Azlin will officiate the service.  The casket will remain open for visitation through Tuesday and will not be open at the service. Honorary Bearers will be: Gordon Pyle, Marty Seikel, Toby Swearingen, Larry DeLacretaz, Mike Clayton, Jake Moyer, Mark Phelps, Bill Lozier and Jim Hammersley.
