Larry Dale McBroom

Larry Dale McBroom, 55, Earlsboro, Oklahoma resident, died Sunday, December 11, 2016 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Larry was born May 23, 1961 in Purcell, Oklahoma to Isaac McBroom and Leoma(Carter) McBroom. He had lived in Pottawatomie County for most all his live. Larry was a member of the Coney Island Tabernacle Church, where he was very active. He was a huge OU and Thunder Basketball fan, he loved  fishing, playing with his children, working on cars and hauling hay in his younger days. He loved people and loved helping them, including neighbors and friends, he was the type who never met a stranger. Larry married Rebecca (Sandfur) McBroom on March 16, 2002 in Shawnee, Oklahoma. Larry is survived by his wife Rebecca of the home in Earlsboro, Oklahoma, his father Isaac McBroom of Shawnee, Oklahoma; three sons; Jeremy Long, Johnathan Long and Joshua Gregg and his wife Amy all of Shawnee, Oklahoma; three brothers, Raymond McBroom of Wanette, Oklahoma, Donald Gene McBroom and his wife Joyce of Byars, Oklahoma, Kenneth McBroom of Shawnee, Oklahoma; three sisters, Marilyn Black and her husband Donald of Asher, Oklahoma, Nancy Morton and her husband Dale  of Macomb, Oklahoma and Linda Morton and her husband David of Tecumseh, Oklahoma, six grandchildren Tyler Long, Ryan Long, Isaiah and Kaleb Greg, Tristan Long and Ashlynn Gregg. He was preceded in death by his mother Leoma ( Carter) Williams, a sister Mildred McBroom and a brother Terry McBroom. Funeral services will be held on Friday, December 16, 2016 at 2:00 P.M. at the Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel, Seminole, Oklahoma, Rev. Charles Troglin will officiate at the funeral. Burial will follow at Vamoosa Cemetery, south of Seminole on Highway 99. Casket bearers will be Keith Morton, Bobby McBroom, Michael Allgood, Eddie Watkins, Tim Black and Gary Fowler. Honorary bearers will be Chris Watkins, Kelby and Dayton Fowler, Ryan and Tristan Long, Isaiah and Kaleb Gregg, Aiden and Noah Watkins.
