Larry Gene Johnson, 62 year-old, lifelong Seminole resident passed from this life Sunday, February 21, 2010 at St. Anthony Hospital in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. He was born July 12, 1947 in Shawnee, Oklahoma to parents Charles Leonard Johnson and Mildred Virginia (Hedges) Johnson. Larry graduated from Seminole High School in 1965 and went on to earn his Bachelors degree from East Central University in Ada, Oklahoma. He also served in the Army Reserve for several years. He retired from Wrangler Jean Manufacturer in Seminole where he had worked as an inspector. Survivors include his mother, Mildred Johnson of Seminole, Oklahoma; two daughters, Kristin M. Johnson-Burns and Rebecca K. Johnson; one brother and sister-in-law, Charles R. Johnson and his wife Debbie of Earlsboro, Oklahoma; as well as a host of other family and dear friends. Larry is preceded in death by his father, Charles Leonard Johnson and by one brother, Jerry Johnson who died in 1995. Funeral Services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, February 24, 2010 at Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel in Seminole, Oklahoma. Eugene Johnson will officiate the service. Interment will be at Maple Grove Cemetery in Seminole. Services are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole, Oklahoma.
