Larry Grisham

Funeral services for Larry Houston Grisham, 59, are scheduled for 10:00 a.m., Thursday, October 3, 2013 at Little Cemetery Chapel located on Hwy 99 North of Seminole. Glenn Pence, pastor of the Seminole First Christian Church, will officiate.  Interment will follow at Little Cemetery. Grisham died Saturday, September 28, 2013, at his home near Seminole. He was born October 5, 1953, in Seminole to Houston A. and Rita (Burkhart) Grisham.  He graduated from New Lima High School and was a retired truck driver.  He lived in Oklahoma City and Tulsa before moving back to Seminole about 15 years ago.  In his retirement, he was a craftsman, woodworker and sportsman. He was preceded in death by his father and two brothers, Dennis Ray Grisham and James Randal Grisham. Survivors include his mother, Rita Grisham Lester, Seminole; one sister and brother-in-law, Karen and Jerry Anson, Seminole; one brother and sister-in-law, Terry and Terrie Grisham, Tulsa; nieces, Heather Anson, Seminole, and Jill Malone, East Grand Forks, Minnesota; nephews, Dennis Grisham Jr. and Ryan Anson, both of Oklahoma City; and seven grand-nephews. Pallbearers will include, Terry Grisham, Dennis Grisham Jr., Jerry Anson, Ryan Anson, Sonny Grisham, Jessie Grisham, Joshua Hurst and Jade Hurst. Honorary pallbearers will include his uncles, Clifford and Kenneth “Pete” Grisham. Services are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole, Oklahoma.
