Larry Max “Butch” “Goose” Goostree, 58, longtime Seminole resident died, Tuesday, January 15, 2013 at his home in Seminole. Larry was born November 12, 1954 in Cassville, Missouri to Aulton and Amanda  (Howerton) Goostree. Larry graduated from Cassville, Missouri high school and Tech School in Monett, Missouri. Larry was assistant body shop manager at ATC Freightliner in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Larry was a huge John Wayne fan; he loved cooking, music and singing especially Karaoke. He enjoyed spending time at lake Eufaula with his family on their party barge. Larry loved his family and his grandchildren, who were his life, and was known as “ Pa “ to his grandchildren. Larry married Janie Perryman on November 2, 1979 in Seminole, Oklahoma. Larry is survived by his wife Janie Goostree of Seminole, Oklahoma; two sons Chris Goostree and his wife Tif of Oak Point, Texas and Bryan Goostree and his wife Amy of Seminole, Oklahoma; two brothers Jim Goostree of Macomb, Oklahoma and Bill Goostree of Cheyenne, Wyoming. His grandchildren, Anthony, Johny Ray and Addison Michelle Goostree, also survive Larry. Funeral services will be held at 4:00 P.M., Saturday, January 19, 2013 at the Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel. Honorary bearers will be Chris Goostree, Bryan Goostree, Phillip Pennington, Jim Goostree, Bill Goostree, Ron Perryman and Ed Bowman.
