Larry Bateman

Raymond “Larry” Bateman, 70 year old Seminole County, Oklahoma resident, passed away December 15, 2018 at his home. Larry was born August 23, 1948 in Phoenix, Arizona, to parents, Marvin Raymond Bateman and Elva Louise (Ryan) Bateman. Larry married Valena Jo (Sexton) Bateman on May 26, 1967 at the Church of Christ in Seminole, Oklahoma. Larry worked as a sprinkler fitter at Williams Automatic Sprinkler of Oklahoma City until his retirement. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, spending time with family and working on cars and lawn mowers in his shop. Larry is survived by his son; Michael W. Bateman and his wife Patricia of Maud, Oklahoma, daughters; Kimberley Campbell and her husband Shane of Maud, Oklahoma and Jamie Bateman of Maud, Oklahoma, brothers; Roy Bateman and his wife Jo of Maud, Oklahoma, Danny Bateman and his wife Angela of Kingston, Oklahoma, Mark Bateman and his wife Dana of Montana, sisters; Connie Pickering and her husband Boyd of Utah, Elaine Weaver and her husband Gary of Ada, Oklahoma, Barbara Heilaman and her husband Danny of Maud, Oklahoma, Joyce Savage and her husband Dan of Fort Gibson, Oklahoma, Janet Burris and her husband John of Maud, Oklahoma, grandchildren; Ethan Bateman, Shayla Campbell, Brady Campbell, Ryan Davenport and his wife Taylor and Gracie Taylor and a host of other family and friends. Larry was preceded in death by his parents. Graveside services for Larry will be at 2:00 P.M., Wednesday, December 19, 2018 at Wolf Cemetery with Pastor Tommy Dale Jesse officiating. Casket bearers will be: Ethan Bateman, Brady Campbell, Ryan Davenport, Jackson McClanahan, Rob Freyman and Chase Evans. Honorary Casket Bearers will be: Jack McClanahan, Carl Krause and Keith Hamilton. Services are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole, Oklahoma.
