Lance Walker went home to be with his Lord January 27, 2022. He was born to parents, Ben Walker and Darlene Stewart Henneha at Lake View Terrace, California, March 27, 1970.
Lance was preceded in death by his father Ben Walker; paternal grandparents Jeff Walker and Sissy Wolf Washington; maternal grandparents, Robert Stewart and Pauline H. Stewart; step-father, Charles Henneha, Sr.; aunt, Regina P. Stewart; uncle, Joseph Stewart Sr.; uncle, Robert Stewart Jr. and niece, Brittany Ranee Beaudion.
Survivors include his mother, Darlene S. Henneha of Seminole, Oklahoma, aunt and uncle; Alberta and David Morrow of Calvin, Oklahoma, sisters; Marcheta Buckley of Seminole, Oklahoma, Traci Walker Postoak and husband, Jeremy of Sasakwa, Oklahoma and Roberta Walker of Seminole, Oklahoma; step-sisters, Laura Henneha Ahaitty of Seminole, Oklahoma and Barbara Henneha Harjo of Holdenville, Oklahoma; step-brother, Charles Henneha Jr. of Coweta, Oklahoma and a very special and best friend April Deere of Tecumseh, Oklahoma. He leaves many cousins, nieces and nephews who loved him dearly.
Lance was baptized at a young age at First Indian Baptist Church in Southgate, California. Later in life his church membership was at Indian Nations Baptist Church in Seminole, Oklahoma. He dearly loved and respected his pastor, Bill Barnett. It was his joy to serve with his church during Falls Creek Camp. He had a gift of service. He was a proud member of the Seminole Nation of Oklahoma Eufaula Band.
Lance enjoyed poetry in his early life; writing became his hobby. He loved to joke and laugh. Lance loved music, movies, reading, writing and attending church. He was debonair and very intellectual. Lance loved his Mom and liked to tease his sisters. He would take the city bus all around Tulsa. He liked to cook and eat good food.
Lance attended and graduated from Wewoka High School 1988, graduated from Gordon Cooper Technology, Shawnee, Oklahoma 2009, specializing as a diesel mechanic. Lance will be missed greatly by his family and friends.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, February 7, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. at Swearingen Funeral Chapel in Seminole, Oklahoma, with Rev. Randy Colbert officiating. Burial will follow at Rest Haven Memorial Gardens in Seminole, Oklahoma. Services are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole, Oklahoma.
