Lana Davis Bowlegs, 83, longtime Seminole County resident, died Wednesday, July 19, 2017 in Earlsboro, Oklahoma. Lana was born June 22, 1934 in Sasakwa, Oklahoma to Abler Davis and Nora (Tiger) Davis. Lana was a seamstress and homemaker. She loved sewing, word puzzles, going to great-grandkids ballgames, watching OSU football and Thunder Basketball. She was a member of the Little River Baptist Church. She is survived by her two sons; Kenny Bowlegs of Wewoka, Oklahoma and Willie Bowlegs and his wife Jo of Seminole, Oklahoma, two daughters; Gail Bowlegs of Earlsboro, Oklahoma and Virginia Cunningham of Edmond, Oklahoma; two sisters Flora Factor of Wewoka, Oklahoma and Wanda Dodson of Holdenville, Oklahoma, five grandchildren Kenia Larney, Ben Gravatt, April Harjo, Denise Carpenter and Kelly Lawson and twelve great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, four brothers, two sisters and her husband Billy Joe Bowlegs who passed away February 26, 1994. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Saturday, July 22, 2017 at the Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel in Seminole, Oklahoma with Robert Davis officiating. Burial will follow at the Davis Cemetery in Sasakwa, Oklahoma. Wake services will be held from 6:00 P.M. to 7:30 P.M., Friday, July 21, 2017 at the Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel in Seminole. Casket bearers will be Abraham Davis, Abler Davis, Terry Davis, Robert Jesse Davis, John Coon and Dakota Factor. Honorary Bearers will be Treven Harjo, Travis Loving, Bradley Larney, Christopher Larney, Zachary Self, Trent Carpenter and Garrett McCoy.
