Lamarr Kenneth Hunter was born to the union of Luther Lee Hunter Sr. and Lola Lee (James) Hunter on March 10, 1952.rnLamarr grew up in the community of Spencer, Oklahoma and attended Rose Hill Elementary and graduated from Jones High School.rnIn 1972 Lamarr started working at Tinker Air Force Base in Midwest City, Oklahoma. He also served his country in the United States Air Force Reserves for 16 years and retired from Tinker Air Force Base after 35 years on March 9, 2007.rnLamarr united with New Hope Baptist Church at an early age, and is currently a member at the Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church in Jones, Oklahoma.rnLamarr united in marriage with Joann (Jody) Stargell Hunter on June 9, 1984 in Shawnee, Oklahoma. To this union no children were born. Lamarr and Jody spent twenty-three happy years together.rnPreceding him in death are his parents, Luther Lee Hunter, Sr. and mother Lola Lee James and one brother, Larry D. Hunter.rnrnHe Leaves to mourn his death, his wife, Jody of the home, his brothers Leo Hunter of Edmond, Oklahoma, Luther Lee Hunter Jr. of Spencer, Oklahoma and his sisters, Lee Ana Dumas of Spencer, Oklahoma, Josie Simmons of Midwest City, Oklahoma, Linda Hunter-Chang of Midwest City, Oklahoma, Barbara Jean Jones of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, and Sharon Hunter Vick of Owasso, Oklahoma. His Mother-in-law, Mae Lee Stargell of Shawnee, Oklahoma and a host of brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins and other family and friends also survive him.rnrnServices are scheduled for Saturday, May 5, 2007 at 1:00 P.M. at the Word Aflame Church at 9029 East Reno in Midwest City, Oklahoma with interment to follow at the Hillcrest Memorial Gardens in Spencer, Oklahoma. rnrnServices are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home rn100 W.
