Kris Phillips

Kris Annesley Phillips passed away on August 2, 2011 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma at the age of 50.  She was born on October 6, 1960 in Gorham, Maine to Robert Bertin Curtis and Elaine Ruth Cummings. She married Ricky Glenn Phillips on January 30, 2004 in Bearden, Oklahoma. Kris worked as a licensed practical nurse for over 30 years and was currently working at the Wewoka Nursing Center. She was a member of the Lord’s Community Church and was very involved with the church.  Kris was a free spirit.  She loved music, gardening and was a very giving person. Kris leaves to cherish her memories her husband, Ricky Phillips of the home, daughter Prudance Elaine Jewel Azlin of New York, New York, step children; Starla Griffin, Angel Southern, Jason Phillips and Heaven King all of Seminole, brother; Scott Curtis of Sante Fe, New Mexico and her father, Robert Curtis of Gorham, Maine.  She is also survived by five grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her mother whom she was very close to, Elaine Ruth Cummings and a sister, Kimberly Dale Curtis.  A memorial service is scheduled to celebrate her life on Friday, August 5, 2011 at 11:00 A.M. at the Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel with Jimmy Morland officiating.
